- Large, wide frame that was built to clog gaps
- Incredible wingspan to corral ball carriers as they come through the line of scrimmage
- Got some burst to him! Fires out of his stance and drives into engagement
- Impressive speed to power transfer; like the violence that jolts through his hands on contact
- Able to control the point of attack and maintain contact until he needs to shed to the football
- Movement is fair, and doesn’t disgrace himself keeping off reach blocks on outside runs
- Good leverage aids him against double teams
Con's:
- Poor conditioning. Tires as games go on
- Lack of instincts for where the ball is going, showing little adjustment to the developing landscape
- Too many missed tackles – loses his eyes on the ball carrier in the backfield
- Isn’t able to turn heavy first punch into pass rush opportunities – run-stuffing nose tackle only
- Disruptive more than productive on passing downs; never more than two sacks in any year at ASU

Built to ruin run games, Davidson has the size, strength and most impressively the burst to displace blocks and locate the football. His footwork and hand technique have been developed to control reps at the point of attack with alarming consistency, and guards & centers know they’re in for a long day when they line up over him. Davidson is set to be a contributor on early downs only, as he offers little to no pass rush productivity - he’s much more adept manipulating blocks rather than breaching them - and his ability to affect the QB will be restricted to collapsing the pocket. Davidson offers appeal to defenses of any scheme looking for some depth along the interior”
