- If he has to reset his hands he falls off blocks too easily
- Plays over his toes, and savvy pass rushers evading his reach can force him off balance
- Stiff hipped and finds it difficult to change direction once he’s at speed
- Ability to mirror rushers with outside-inside rush moves lacking; just can’t adjust quick enough
The Verdict:
“A tricky eval, Myron Cunningham has made the most of his god-given traits. Possessing unnaturally long arms, Cunningham has developed his game to use his length advantage to full effect, engaging defenders early and rolling them outside of the pass rush arc or walling them away from the football. For such a tall tackle he has a surprising amount of sand in his pants and can match up against power off the edge, but in terms of using his own strength he’s not a candidate to dictate terms at the point of engagement. What limits Cunningham’s draft stock the most is his lack of fluidity at his current size; if he struggles to handle speed rushers now, how will he fare when he puts on more muscle mass to add more power? A developmental prospect with limited upside who has a job on his hands in training camp.”
