For teams that prioritise measurables above all else, McDuffie might fall short the elite bracket of cornerback in this draft class - but he really shouldn’t. The former Washington Husky has playing traits that make a mockery of his size and length, and the genetic makeup to be a truly dominant outside corner at the next level. McDuffie has such strong tape that he’s a real candidate for teams to trade up for overnight, should he slip into day two. Proficient in any form of coverage, plenty of agility to remain relevant on every play, and the tenacity and physicality to compete at the catch point - Trent McDuffie has the ingredients to be a high calibre shutdown NFL cornerback.”
