- Arms a tick short, and likely to be more exposed in the NFL
- Is he a ‘tweener? A little undersized to live permanently on the interior
- Lack of lower body strength – might struggle to set the edge at the next level
- Hair on fire style of play that can see him whiff on tackles – particularly in the backfield
- Eager to find contact and can play over his toes when encountering patient pass protectors
The Verdict:
“Logan Hall turned heads in 2021, turning a boat load of promise into tangible results for the Cougars. The good news is that he’s still not reached his ceiling yet - Hall has a frame that looks capable of adding more weight, and it could convince scouts that his permanent home may be as a 5-tech defensive end that can hem in the run game and put pressure on the pocket. At his current size, and with his first-step explosiveness, I’d argue he might find life easier in a four man front, where he can attack from wide - or even kick inside on obvious passing downs and offer some interior rush. His measurables don’t quite give him a positional home yet in the NFL, which may give teams pause for thought, but Hall has the motor and nose for the football that makes him a future game changer at the next level.”
