The Verdict:
“Joshua Williams has enjoyed an ascending draft stock throughout the pre-draft process. Dominating for Fayetteville State in the CIAA, the former Bulldog was a true lockdown corner, who put up good numbers when opposing quarterbacks dared to test him. That got him an invite to the Senior Bowl, where he took time to acclimate before looking more comfortable by the end of the week - as well as the NFL Combine, where he showed rare speed for a man his size. Williams’ size, length and athleticism will make scouts drool, but anyone wanting to employ skillset must appreciate the jump up in competition the former Bronco faces. That being said, if Williams is afforded patience and given a plan for his development, there is every opportunity for him to become a starter at the next level.”
