- A little leggy matching up with shiftier receivers, who can open up early separation
- Uncomfortable in off-man; likes to get his hands on his opponent at the line of scrimmage
- Susceptible to misdirection, play action, head fakes and double moves
- All or nothing style can leave himself exposed to giving up big plays
The Verdict:
“Quite a fun watch! Cam Taylor-Britt spent four years at Nebraska, beginning life as a safety but evolving his game into a well-rounded cornerback who operates best outside the numbers with a sideline to work with. CTB lacks a little height but you wouldn’t consider him undersized; he’s a ball of energy who likes to attack the football at every opportunity. Taylor-Britt is in his element the moment the ball is heading somewhere, when he can disengage from other responsibilities and zero in on making a play. Sometimes a little over-exuberant, CTB has moments on tape he’d definitely like back, and he can be caught out against jitterbug receivers, likely ruling out life as a slot corner in the NFL. But with immediate backup talent and a ceiling of a CB2, Taylor-Britt is a borderline day two/three prospect.”
