Fantasy Football Must Starts Week 11
By James Collier
Welcome to Week 11’s Must Starts! Read on for four players we think should be in your fantasy lineups this week.
Reminder, when we say “Must Start”, we’re looking for DFS bargains, players being undervalued by consensus rankings and solid bye week covers. There might be some “good chalk” mixed in among the sleepers.
Review of Last Week
Last week wasn’t the best for our Must Starts, with Khalil Shakir the pick of the bunch with a WR25 finish from a WR24 ranking. That’s the price we pay when two of our four selections were from a game that had just 19 points and one touchdown!
Drake Maye & Kayshon Boutte vs Los Angeles Rams
We have no pick from Kev this week so instead we have a Must Stack from me. It may be a little bit out there so maybe more of a “Stack, if you Must”.
I’m going for Patriots duo Drake Maye and Kayshon Boutte. Since becoming the starter, Maye has done his best to make the Patriots a watchable team and over the last three weeks he’s been looking for Boutte on a regular basis, with six targets in each game. Boutte’s primary issue in the past has been getting on the field on a regular basis, but he seems to have overcome that as he’s led all Patriots receivers in snaps for five straight weeks.
The Rams have been a little hit and miss as a matchup for fantasy purposes but they have allowed their fair share of big weeks from QB/WR duos, including week winning performances from Geno Smith & Jaxon Smith-Njigba in Week 9 (62 combined points), Brock Purdy and Jauan Jennings in Week 3 (72 points) and Kyler Murray and Marvin Harrison Jr in Week 2 (57 points).
While we’re obviously not looking at an outcome close to those for Maye and Boutte, the Rams allow a league high yards per completion figure of 12.9. So they only need to connect on a couple of deep passes to provide a return on their DFS price and represent solid bye week cover in managed leagues.
ECR Ranking: Maye QB16, Boutte (PPR) WR51
Fantasy Gameday Price: Maye £5,000, Boutte £2,600
Mike Williams vs Baltimore Ravens (Lewis Wood)
Lewis (@ff_pancake) has another selection for us from his weekly Must Start video, which you can check out below.
“Mike Williams only saw one target on his debut as a Steeler but he made the most of it, latching onto a classic Russell Wilson moon ball and taking it 35 yards to the house. He perfectly matches what Russ wants in an outside WR and the matchup with Baltimore this week is spicy as hell. Expect a higher target share with a good chance of a long TD!”
ECR Ranking (PPR): WR57
Fantasy Gameday Price: £2,400

Chase Brown @ Los Angeles Chargers (Tom Strachan)
We have a Sunday Night Football pick from Tom (@NFL_Tstrack) to finish this week.
“The biggest barrier Chase Brown has had to his ceiling was the lack of involvement in the passing game, with the Bengals having had concerns about his pass protection in the earlier parts of his career and this has kept him to being a committee back, now though, that’s no longer the case. Brown saw a 20% target share in Week 10 and was trusted in pass protection situations which led to him playing a season-high 86% of snaps. Brown has averaged 24.6 PPR points over his last two games and looks set to be a league-winner down the stretch. The Chargers are a tough opposition but when we have high-volume and good abilities, we can look past that.”
ECR Ranking (PPR): RB11
Fantasy Gameday Price (SNF): £5,000
