The Verdict:
“There was nothing more exciting than tuning in to watch TCU’s march to the College Football Playoffs last season - and it’s reasonable to suggest that, without Max Duggan at the helm, it would never have happened. Something of a gunslinger with a never say die attitude, Duggan led the Horned Frogs to countless fourth quarter comebacks, leaning on an up-tempo, quick passing game that also offered him the opportunity to go for big plays when available. Duggan has very obvious flaws to his game, and will need to work on his reading of coverages, decision making and lower body technique. His ceiling is likely that of a backup who can come in and gut out some surprising wins - which, considering he was QB2 on the TCU depth chart just 9 months ago, is pretty impressive.”
