- Fast, and shows good speed adjustment on breaks & stutters to work enough space for the ball
- Plays the ball in the air as well as any receiver in this class
- Intelligent, finding areas of weakness to exploit against zone coverage
- Physical with the ball in his hand and makes the defender work to bring him down
- Looks to be a redzone matchup nightmare at the next level

- Doesn’t quite possess elite top speed & wouldn’t be considered explosive off the line of scrimmage
- Modest separation is all he needs, but more would come with sharper route running & cuts
- Won’t run away from defenders. Limited yards after the catch
The Verdict:
“Calling Treylon Burks a possession receiver probably does him a disservice, but throw a ball up there and he’s coming down with it. The comparisons with AJ Brown are widespread but deserving; Burks is the perfect blend of size, power and speed that causes defensive backs nightmares. Dominant on the outside or in the slot he can be moved around to find mismatches, but will quite happily produce against the best the opposition has to offer. A big game player with huge performances against Alabama and Texas A&M, the Arkansas native exploded as a junior as the Razorbacks turned heads. His sluggish performance at the Combine will raise concerns over his ideal size and shape at the next level, but the tape tells you everything; Treylon Burks is a difference maker ready to make an impact from day one in the NFL.”
