2022 NFL DRAFT PROSPECT REPORT

Jaquan-Brisker260x360

Pro's:

  • Perfect NFL safety size with nearly 10” hands
  • A fierce run defender – takes on OL with vicious intentions
  • Has the ability to play any role you ask out of him – I even think he could play boundary corner if you needed him to
  • Shows great instincts against the run and in the passing game
  • Very fluid mover overall
  • Can play a lurk or over the top in single high

Con's:

  • Is so excited to crack ball carriers that he can over pursue leading to missed tackles
  • Needs to take better angles to the ball, both against the run and pass
  • Footwork needs a bit of cleaning up in man coverage
  • Good but not elite speed

The Verdict:

“Jaquan Brisker is the definition of a dawg. He wants to smack you, crack you, and whack you. He is the perfect size for the safety position in the NFL, and has gigantic hands for the position as well. He plays with good instincts, but his want to blow up ball carriers can lead to missed tackles. Brisker projects best as a box safety with in the slot capabilities. He isn’t as versatile as Kyle Hamilton, but he is close. If you want to use Brisker as a single high I think you can, use him as a lurker, he can surely do that, and bring him down as a LB, he can surely do that as well. Brisker is a great safety prospect, and if not for the presence of a generational prospect in Kyle Hamilton, most people, including me, would have Brisker chalked into the first round.”
