“George Pickens is a raw prospect that has all the athletic tools you look for in a receiver playing outside of the numbers. A man who feasts on climbing the ladder down the sidelines, Pickens also has enough burst and top speed to really challenge the deep field, making him a tricky customer to keep in check. After recovering from a brutal knee injury last Spring, he showed the world what he could do down the stretch as Georgia won the National Championship, and the exciting thing is that as he develops his route running and guile when creating separation he stands to add more value to his skillset. Size and durability will be troubling for scouts who will have legitimate questions about whether he can pack more muscle onto his lanky frame, but as a day two pick you cannot argue with either the talent or the upside.”
