Week 7 NFL Player Prop Bets

By Adam Martin

The focus in the NFL, for the UK audience the last few weeks, has been the London Games. However, as we enter week seven it feels like patterns are starting to emerge and so winners are there to be had. Here we go through the best four player prop bets for you to get on in week seven.

As always, these prop bets are for entertainment only, and please gamble responsibly. All the odds below are from our friends at 888 Sport:

Atlanta Falcons @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Jonnu Smith over 3.5 receptions @ 21/20

This is one bet that I didn’t think I would be having at the beginning of the season, but Smith looks a solid choice this week. So far this season his reception figures have been 0,4,5,6,6,4 in the previous six weeks.

Smith will be going up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense, and they are strongest against the run. Currently the Bucs are ranked 10th against the run but are 23rd against receiving options.

Given that the Falcons normally want to run the ball it feels like they will have to get QB Desmond Ridder passing the ball more to have success. Although the Falcons have the likes of Drake London and Kyle Pitts, Smith has been a consistent feature in the team.

Detroit Lions @ Baltimore Ravens

Mark Andrews anytime TD @ 11/8

The Baltimore Ravens are looking like a strong team again this season and have a good chance of winning the AFC North. One of the main reasons for the Ravens impressive season so far is the willingness to pass the ball more. Todd Monken came in as offensive coordinator in the summer and has made the difference.

Lamar Jackson is looking like his MVP best from a few years ago, and because of that he has some good receiving weapons that are in play here. Jackson’s most potent and reliable weapon is Mark Andrews – and so at 11/8 he looks a good price. Andrews has averaged five receptions a game and has had three TD’s so far this season over the five games he has played in.

One concern that you may have is that they are going up against an improving defense in the Detroit Lions. However, although the Lions have improved, they have not been able to stop the tight end position. They are currently ranked 27th against tight ends this season and so Andrews can take advantage of that weakness.

Los Angeles Chargers @ Kansas City Chiefs

Rashee Rice over 3.5 receptions @ 4/5

This matchup feels like it could be the most exciting game of the week and both teams will be looking for the win. The Chiefs will be expecting a victory against their division rivals, and it would be surprising if they didn’t get it. The biggest problem when betting on the Chiefs players is; after Travis Kelce, where will the ball go?

However, it is starting to feel like we have an answer to that question – and it’s rookie Rashee Rice. He is on the field for most of the redzone plays now, and if Kelce isn’t available Mahomes is going to Rice more often than the other receivers on the team. The last two weeks Rice has had four receptions, and has been over 3.5 in three of the last four weeks.

The Chargers have struggled defensively this season, and it would be surprising to see the Chiefs not take advantage of that. They are currently ranked 31st against wide receivers, Rice should be able to get plenty of work against them.

Washington Commanders @ New York Giants

Wan’Dale Robinson anytime TD @ 4/1

This is a speculative bet and small stakes are advised on this one, but Wan’Dale Robinson to score anytime is worth doing. The receiver has been getting more involved in the offense as the season has gone on. He wasn’t targeted in the first two games but since then has had 4,5,5 and 8 receptions over weeks three to six.

Not only is he getting more involved in the pass game, but he is also someone who has a few run plays as well. Although the Giants offense has struggled this season, its hard to pass up on such a big price for a player that is so active.

Another reason to get on this bet is that the Giants are going up against a Washington Commanders defense that has not been as good as we all thought. They are currently ranked 27th against wide receivers – the stats suggest this bet could come off.
