Waxing Lyrical with Mainz and Dutts has been around for many years now, discussing the news of the day in the NFL, with a specific focus on the fantasy aspects and the impact of those news items.
In this week’s episode, the boys discuss the NFL News impacting fantasy football, the boys then start talking draft strategies looking this week around how to win your Bestball league– before they continue their divisional previews, this week with the NFC East:
This last week had a number of big news stories that affect fantasy football, and Mainz and Dutts react to them. Firstly we had the pipebomb that was the Rodgers press conference – and what it means for the Packers this season, and beyond. The boys then look at two QB injuries from the first few days of Training Camp; firstly Dak and whether it is anything to worry about, and then Wentz – does this means the Colts season is over before it starts?
As part of the season preview Mainz and Dutts will be reviewing draft strategies for a number of Fantasy formats; this week it is Bestball.
They look at things like:
What is Bestball?
Does the different format mean a different approach?
What players benefit from the format and what players are hurt by it.
The divisional preview is a staple for WLMD. The format this year is as follows:
Mainz’ Big Question
Dutts Fantasy Darling
More Likely to be discussed
The NFC East is mediocre at best, but the boys know that all too well with their teams being in the division. This year the tables have turned with Mainz’s team at the top and Dutts’ at the bottom – or ARE the Eagles at the bottom? Listen in to find out!
