The Touchdown podcast is back with the Touchdown review. Each week Paul Mainwaring (Mainz) will chat with Touchdown writers to review the previous week in College and the NFL. This week he spoke to: Tayyib Abu on Sam Darnold and Justin Herbert, Callum Squires on Kyler Murray and Jameis Winston, Oli Hodgkinson on USC and FSU, Joe Valenzuela on the Browns and Urban Meyer, and Thomas Willoughby on the Falcons and a Bizarre Rookie QB:
Tayyib joins Mainz and talks about whether Sam Darnold is on the road to redemption and how legit is Justin Herbert (Answer: Very)
Callum jumps on to talk about the brilliance of Kyler and how he believes the Cardinals are better than the 49ers. He also praises Sean Payton and the Saints as they got the best out of Jameis.
The major story this week in College was USC firing Clay Helton and Mainz got Oli on to chat through what happened and what’s next. They also talked proposals and which game everyone should be watching this weekend.
Joe Valezuela joins Mainz to talk Browns and whether the fans should still be happy even given the heartbreaking loss in Kansas City. They then move on to talk about Urban Meyer and wonder if his play-calling will make the Jags’ season unwatchable.
Finally, Thomas jumped on the show to speak about the Falcons and hopefully start the healing process given a bad Week 1. He also talks about his brilliant article on a bizarre Rookie QB
