Rice At Christmas? NFL Legend Heads To London For Vikings Watch Party
By Simon Carroll
On Saturday 16th December, the Minnesota Vikings are returning to London – hosting a unique fan watch party at Broadleaf, Shoreditch, (Tower 42, 25 Old Broad St, London, EC2N 1HN). The action-packed event will see the Vikings take on the Cincinnati Bengals and is open to all, from the most passionate UK Vikings fans to NFL newcomers.
SKOL
Throughout the evening, fans will be able to enjoy giveaways, a prize draw and games to showcase the vibrancy and sounds of U.S Bank Stadium. From SKOL chants to traditional Viking costumes and the iconic drum, fans will be able to witness the unique atmosphere and fanfare of a Vikings gameday.
Those in attendance will also have the chance to meet and have their photo taken with franchise legend, Sidney Rice and the Vikings cheerleaders. A second-round pick by the Vikings back in 2007, Sidney is a fan-favourite and will always be remembered for his iconic 2009 Pro Bowl season with Brett Favre as his Quarterback.
With doors opening at 5.00pm and KO at 6.00pm, those in attendance will be able to take in the game, enjoy Vikings-themed food and meet other passionate fans with a love of the team or a curiosity to discover more.
Vikings Growing Roots In The UK
This will be the second time in a few weeks that the Vikings have held a watch party in the UK, after coming to Manchester back in November. Sidney Rice was excited to be a part of the growth of football on these shores – particularly widening the Vikings fanbase:
“I am thrilled to get to London to engage with our Minnesota Vikings fans and all fans that love the game of football. It should be a fun game to watch and a great time at Broadleaf. I hope we can pack the place out!”
The trip furthers the Vikings commitment to the UK fanbase, where they have marketing rights through the NFL’s Global Markets Program. For more information, please visit:
