College Football Week 4: 2025 NFL Draft prospects to watch
By Jack Brentnall
There are some great matchups to look forward to in Week 4, with a handful of notable draft prospects on display. Here are six names to keep an eye on.
Shavon Revel - CB, East Carolina (6-3, 193, Senior)
If you enjoy watching cornerbacks, don’t miss the East Carolina-Liberty matchup this weekend. Pirates cornerback Shavon Revel has been generating significant buzz as a potential first round draft pick and is coming off two stellar performances.
Revel was voted a Second Team All-AAC member in 2023 and has started this season in similarly impressive form. In each of his last two games he produced an interception and a pass breakup. This included an impressive 51-yard pick six last week against Appalachian State.
It is easy to see why NFL scouts are excited about Revel. He has good size and knows how to get inside the frame of opponents and bully them at the line of scrimmage. He is also a tremendous athlete, with impressive burst and ample recovery speed when required. If he continues to play like he has done through the first three weeks the question won’t be whether he is a first round pick – it will be a case of how early he is taken.
Cade Klubnik - QB, Clemson (6-2, 210, Junior)
It is fair to say that Klubnik has fallen short of expectations during his time at Clemson. This season didn’t get off to a good start either, with a calamitous outing against Georgia in Week 1. Many people, myself included, were getting ready to write him off as an NFL prospect – then Week 2 happened.
To say that Klubnik was special against Appalachian State would be an understatement. He finished that game 24 of 26 for 378 yards and five touchdowns. He averaged a scarcely believable 14.5 yards per attempt and tallied a perfect passer rating of 158.3.
The question that scouts will now be asking is whether that was a flash in the pan, or whether Klubnik has begun to turn the corner. How he fares this weekend against NC State should be a good indicator of what the answer to that question is.
Ollie Gordon II - RB, Oklahoma State (6-2, 225, Junior)
The 2025 draft class is expected to be deep at running back, and Gordon is one of the top names. Following a breakout 2023 season that saw him earn Unanimous All-American honours and the Doak Walker Award, many were expecting another monster year.
His start to the season has been a little slower than hoped. Through his first three games he is averaging just 3.2 yards per attempt. He has failed to reach 50 rushing yards in each of his last two games and hasn’t had a run of 15+ yards all year.
Despite his struggles, Gordon’s impressive size, natural vision, and contact balance will all still intrigue NFL scouts. The question is whether he can regain his form and reclaim his status as a game-breaking back. We will find out when he faces off against a good Utah defense this weekend.
Miller Moss - QB, USC (6-2, 205, rs-Junior)
Every year, a quarterback prospect emerges seemingly out of nowhere and becomes a legitimate NFL Draft prospect. This season, USC’s Miller Moss has the potential to be that guy.
Through two games, Moss has passed for 600 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions whilst completing 71.6% of his attempts. His 7% big-time throw rate ranks second amongst Big Ten quarterbacks and he has just one turnover-worthy play on 67 dropbacks. Not bad for a player who has just three career starts!
While Moss’s sample size is still small, his early performances have been encouraging. To further solidify his draft stock, he will need to maintain consistency throughout the season. This weekend’s matchup against a talented Michigan defense will be a crucial test for Moss.
Danny Stutsman - LB, Oklahoma (6-4, 243, Senior)
As one of three ranked matchups this weekend, Tennessee-Oklahoma should be must-see TV. Both teams boast plenty of NFL talent, but if there is one name I’m keeping a close eye on it is Sooners linebacker Stutsman.
Stutsman is now in his third season as a starter and has become a vital piece of Brent Venables’ defense. At 6’4” and 243 lbs he offers old-school linebacker size and he plays with the tenacity and ferocity you might expect. He isn’t just a thumper though – Stutsman offers legitimate NFL-level athleticism and has shown some really promising flashes as a coverage defender.
This weekend he will face a tough test against a Tennessee offense firing on all cylinders. The Volunteers are averaging over 60 points per game and their ability to attack opponents through the air and on the ground means that consistent linebacker play is more important than ever for Oklahoma. Keep an eye on how Stutsman fares.
Shaun Dolac - LB, Buffalo (6-1, 225, Graduate)
While the Buffalo-Northern Illinois matchup may not be the most high profile game of the week, it offers an opportunity to watch standout linebacker Shaun Dolac in action.
Dolac, who is in his fifth season with the team, had a strong 2022 season that saw him log 59 defensive stops. Injuries held him to just four games last year and he briefly transferred to Utah State in the offseason, before reconsidering and returning to Buffalo. It looks to have been a smart move.
In three games, Dolac has recorded 33 tackles, 21 defensive stops, two sacks, an interception, and a pass breakup. His versatility and ability to contribute in multiple areas make him an intriguing NFL prospect.
This weekend, Dolac will face a tough test against Northern Illinois, a team riding high after a major upset over Notre Dame. Dolac’s performance against the Huskies will be a key factor in determining whether Buffalo can pull off an upset of their own.
