- Excellent lateral movement to get good depth on his pass sets and own the corner
- Sudden, with the agility to stop-start and reset to mirror any inside movement
- Elite ability to block on the move – disciplined but quick to get upfield and find work
- Attentive and wary of pass rush moves
- Keeps his weight under his feet and stays balanced – patient for the contact

- Core strength a concern; lack of anchor versus bull rushers, insufficient pop in hands
- Outside arm lacking in strength to maintain edge rush at full extension
- Short arms, which he’s managed to mitigate by being first to the party on every pass rep

The Verdict:
“There aren’t many faster offensive tackles in this draft class than Kellen Deisch; on some looks you could confuse him for a large tight end the way he moves on the field. Quick to his destination, Deisch has found success winning by meeting his opponent early and dictating terms. He excels as a pass protector in space, with sound fundamentals and good football IQ to understand angles, threats and momentum. These are all valuable assets, but stand to be marginalised when he heads to a league where everyone is smarter and everyone is faster. Deisch is going to find life difficult as a run blocker unless he lands in a zone blocking scheme that can accentuate his quicks and mask his lack of power. The short arms are difficult to overcome for Deisch, who doesn’t truly have the anchor to make up for it.”
