Who will be the NFC #1 Seed in 2020?

n 2019 the San Francisco 49ers took the top seed in the NFC with the final play of the final game. 2020 sees that top seed take on even more importance in the new 14-team playoff. With so much on the line who do our analysts see as the #1 seed in the NFC in 2020?

Our Analyst's Picks

Alex Chinery (Head of Analytics): Dallas Cowboys

I think the Cowboys have the most complete roster in the NFC and now have a head coach who knows how to get a team to January. I think Elliot and Dak will improve in a new offense which has the potential to rival the current Super Bowl Champs.

Ben Rolfe (Head of NFL Content): San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers have a supremely talented team on both sides of the ball. They can win in the trenches on both sides of the ball and that is incredibly important through out the season.

Callum Squires (NFL Analyst): Seattle Seahawks

A big year for Russell Wilson in Seattle. Chris Carson is a workhorse, D.K. Metcalf is rapidly developing, and Tyler Lockett is always reliable. That is not to mention a GROUP of good Tight Ends. To put it simply; I like them a lot. The Saints will be a close second.

Michael Norbury (NFL Betting Analyst): Dallas Cowboys

The schedule looks kind and there is so much talent on this roster, if Mike McCarthy is the right man to unlock it they can take the NFC.

Paul Mainwaring (NFL Analyst): New Orleans Saints

They might be the number 1 seed but any chance Payton and Brees could win a few playoff games?

Simon Carroll (Head of NFL Draft Content): Seattle Seahawks

Start with a 49ers Super Bowl hangover. Throw in some cupcake games from the NFC and AFC East, maybe a little overconfidence from other conference heavyweights, and you have a recipe for this feisty Seahawks outfit to spring a surprise. For a man nearly twice my age Pete Carroll’s energy and exuberance puts me to shame. He’ll have his team ready for all circumstances.

Steve Moore (NFL Betting Analyst): Philadelphia Eagles

The 49ers and the Saints are the best two teams in the NFC. However, both play in divisions where cases could be made for at least three (if not all four) teams being able to make the play-offs. The Eagles, with Carson Wentz at QB, are good enough to beat the Cowboys twice. They do that, they go 6-0 in the division and will end up 13-3 as number one seeds.

Tom Scott (NFL and Fantasy Football Analyst): New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints are the best team in the NFC, but they’ll have to overcome their recent play-off woes to get there.
