Two lackluster teams facing up against each other, where neither team can get anything going on offense.
The Patriots got shut out against the New Orleans Saints in week 5, failing to score any points in a 34-0 loss while the Raiders scored 17 points in their victory over the Packers, a low score considering they intercepted Packers quarterback Jordan Love 3 times.
It is difficult to back either team for a victory right now, but with the total set at 40.5 it is difficult to see that being hit despite being a low over/under.
It is a surprise to see this spread being set so low. So grab it while you can.
The Lions are on a roll and look like one of the top teams in the NFC and one of the better teams in the NFL. In the last 3 weeks they have beaten the Falcons by 14 points, the Packers by 14 points and the Panthers by 18.
While the Buccaneers have been quietly going about their business, they are not significantly better than the Lions’s previous three opponents and you could see a similar outcome. Take the Lions against the spread.
The 49ers look like the best team in the NFL right now and you have to fancy they can beat the Browns by a touchdown.
The spread is set at -5.5 but could go out even further depending on the availability of Browns QB Deshaun Watson. Cleveland is coming off a bye week but Watson missed the loss to the Ravens in week 4 with a “rotator cuff contusion”, as reported by NFL Insider Tom Pelissero. He is considered day-to-day. So this is a line you may want to get on early before we get any significant update. If Watson is out, Browns reporter Brad Stainbrook is reporting that it will be PJ Walker that is the guy who will step up.
